Listening, Listening and more Listening
If we are to be successful it is important to listen and understand what works in a space for a client as well as what doesn’t. It is our job to find the ideal solutions where it all comes together, so a client can relax and enjoy their space as the respite it can be.
Floorplan Evaluation
Does the floorplan support the way a client wants to live? If not, we look at it and identify concepts for reconfiguration to better align with the clients’ needs and preferences. Maybe we need to move the kitchen where the guest bedroom exists to provide better flow? Perhaps the master bath is not big enough…so we take room out of the big walk in closet to give the master bath a bigger footprint? To enjoy a more open social area we remove walls between the kitchen and living room.
CAD Drawings
Drawings are not only required for permit approval, but they’re our roadmap for what we are going to build. Are we going to demo the entire space back to the studs? Move walls, relocate rooms, add a washer-dryer where there was none? The drawings tell us.
Permit & HOA Documents
These are standard documents the building department requires to be submitted along with the drawings when applying for permit. Most HOA’s also have their own documents that must be completed and submitted with drawings for board approval. We handle all for our clients.
Evaluate Systems
We look at whether all the mechanical and electrical systems are in good working condition. If not, we identify what needs to be replaced. Most condominium associations require some systems to be updated every 5-10 years.
Curate Materials, Finishes, Products
Once we understand what the client wants to achieve aesthetically, we curate several options of flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, countertop, paint color, millwork options like baseboard and interior door choices, appliances, etc… We then present these options to our clients for review and approval.
Furnishings
Through our “to the trade” vendors and direct relationships with manufacturers we can provide a completely furnished interior. We take a holistic approach to an interior by seeing the integrated connection between remodeling work and a complete furnished interior----it is all part of the same continuum, and everything must fit together in harmony. We believe this is what creates a warm and inviting interior.
Project Management & Procurement
We create a detailed project schedule that clearly specifies milestones, phases and end dates so our clients can plan accordingly. We believe in being accountable for the promises we make. Since inception we have never missed an end date. To that end we are on the jobsite every day to ensure the interior is being built to plan and on schedule. Part of project management is to handle all procurement. We place all orders at the beginning of a project so we are not challenged with delays and backorders that might impact our end date.

Our trusted and valued partners. A huge part of our success must be linked to the group of talented and dedicated professionals we hire to do every interior. We have been working with the same group of licensed contractors, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and others for years. Their focus and commitment to quality craftsmanship, staying on budget and on time dovetails with the core principles of Interior Domain. We are a team dedicated to providing a flawlessly functional and brilliantly beautiful interior that adds lasting value and desirability.
Monitoring & Communication
It is important to us that every client feels at ease knowing their project is moving forward and staying on schedule. Most of our clients are not present through the remodeling process. We are their conduit to what is happening every day, every week through the duration of their project. We communicate through email, texting, images and weekly project updates. It is our desire to provide a worry-free, stress free process. It’s exciting to create a new interior and we want our clients to feel it!
Miscellaneous Services
There are instances where a client asks us to handle more. For some projects the space must be cleared of all belongings and furnishings. We have resources to remove the contents and to donate or otherwise dispose. We also have relationships with moving and storage companies who will pack, move and store for the duration of a project and then return belongings once the project is completed. We’re also happy to procure linens, dishes and other items that allow for a “drop in and live” ready space.
